«En ce qui concerne l’aplat, la difficulté c’est de lui donner la vie. Aussi à travers l’aplat, je cherche une transparence. La transparence donne la vie. C’est comme l’œuf et le jaune. On sent qu’il y a quelque chose à l’intérieur. C’est couleur sur couleur comme chez les Egyptiens. »

"As for the flat color, the difficulty is to give it life. Also through the flat, I seek transparency. Transparency gives life. It's like egg and yolk. We feel that there is something inside. It's color on color like the Egyptians. "
