Cal. 79091 automatic movement, 75 jewels, minute repeating on two hammers, ivory-coloured dial, applied gold baton numerals, four subsidiary dials with silvered chapter rings for 30 minute register and moon phases, date, 12 hour register and month, constant seconds and day, aperture for four digit year display between 7 and 8 o'clock, large circular case, screw down crown, back secured by six screws and engraved International Watch Co., Grande Complication, No. 09/50, 2006 repeating slide and two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, 18K gold IWC buckle, case, dial, and movement signed
43 mm. diam.

With undated and blank Grande Complication Certificate, undated International Guarantee Card, instruction manuals, original fitted wooden presentation box and outer packaging. Furthermore delivered with a copy of , Manfred Fritz, Edition Stemmle.

The Grande Complication is one of IWC's most exclusive timepieces with production limited to just 50 watches a year. Consisting of 659 mechanical parts, 21 functions and displays, a perpetual calendar for the next 500 years and a perpetual moon phase display made of polished goldstone, this watch is a horological tour de force. The minute repeating chime is exceptional, as the sapphire crystal has been freely suspended on a platinum membrane, amplifying the gong vibrations via the sound transmission pin.

The present watch is number 9 of a limited edition of 50 examples of this reference produced by IWC in 2006. It appears to be in new old stock condition, still retaining the IWC protective sticker to the case back.
