FOUR GOLD SCULPTURES In the early 1970s, the London founders Morris Singer Sculpture Association Ltd. with Christie's Contemporary Art commissioned a group of eight British artists to produce a dozen works measuring less than twelve inches in width, cast in 18 carat yellow gold. Twelve casts of each sculpture were produced and the subjects were chosen as representative of the work of each artist. The eight artists included Elisabeth Frink (lot 164), Lynn Chadwick (lots 165-66), Barbara Hepworth (lot 167), Michael Ayrton, and Kenneth Armitage. THE PROPERTY OF A GENTLEMAN
