Giorgio Morandi

Giorgio Morandi was an Italian painter and printmaker known for his minimalist still-lifes. Born in the city of Bologna in 1890, Morandi was the eldest of five children. He studied at the Bologna Accademia di Belle Arti from 1907 to 1913, where he later served as a professor for 26 years.
