Peril at End House
Agatha Christie
CHRISTIE, Agatha (1890-1976). Peril at End House. London: for the Crime Club by W. Collins Sons & Co., Ltd., 1932.

First UK edition of this Poirot title in the very rare dust-jacket. A contemporary review in the Times Literary Supplement states that the 'actual solution is quite unusually ingenious, and well up to the standard of Mrs. Christie's best stories. Everything is perfectly fair, and it is possible to guess the solution of the puzzle fairly early in the book, though it is certainly not easy.'

Octavo. 4 pages of publisher’s advertisements at end. Original orange cloth, upper cover and spine lettered in black (minor marks to edges, spine ends very slightly bumped and rubbed); original pictorial dust-jacket (spine discoloured, slight wear and chipping to edges, some creases, repairs to spine and along folds [more visible on the inside of jacket], lower panel dust-stained). Provenance: Jackson, Wylie & Co., Glasgow (bookseller, small unobtrusive label to top corner of upper pastedown).
