A presentation copy of the first edition, first state—with the author’s own corrections. Pages 349-352 are integral and have the misprints corrected by Fitzgerald in red pencil. Inscribed by Fitzgerald: "For Bob Spafford / from his friend / F. Scott Fitzgerald / Baltimore, 1935." Fitzgerald and Spafford had collaborated on a film treatment of “Gracie at Sea” the previous year. This collection of eighteen stories would be the last book published in Fitzgerald's lifetime.
