A RARE RUBY AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, BY J.W. CURRENS
Designed as a series of twenty-four graduated oval-shaped rubies weighing from 6.06 to 1.27 carats, within a marquise and pear-shaped diamond surround, the clasp accented by a pear-shaped ruby weighing 0.50 carat, mounted in 18k white gold, 44.0 cm long
Signed and with maker's mark for J.W. Currens
Accompanied by report no. 11081023/1 to 25 dated 12 September 2011 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the twenty-five rubies weighing from 6.06 to 0.50 carat is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating and some of the ruby colour variety may also be called "pigeon's blood red" in the trade; accompanied by a gem portrait from Gübelin
Also accompanied by report no. 7122042555 dated 1 August 2011 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the twenty-five natural rubies weighing from 6.06 to 0.50 carat is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating; accompanied by a monograph from GIA
The total weight of the certified rubies is 59.12 carats
