After working in the advertising industry for several years, she began painting on a full-time basis in 1994. Her paintings have been featured on South African postage stamps. African wildlife is her passion and she spends as much time as possible in the bush, where she observes and records the fauna and flora of Africa. The composition of her paintings is critical - she focuses the viewer's attention on the animal and exludes all extraneous detail, alowing the white space to speak of Africa's vast open expanses.
