Receiving a copy of 'Tarka the Otter' by Henry Williamsons re-captured and confirmed what became a life-long passion for the natural world. Perkins exhibited at the Tryon Gallery, Dover Street in the late 60's, early 70's. He gave up painting in the 70's due to commitment to the family business. He took up painting again in 1989 and has been painting professionally since. He has exhibited and sold work widely throughout this country and his work can be found in collections in America, Australia and Europe. His work has been published most recently in the publication The Best of Wildlife Art by Rachel Woolf. David has been an ardent naturalist and conservationist since boyhood. His work features in many private collections in England, Australia and America.
