Nelly Nyad was Greene's favorite subject in the early 1950s. They spent the summer of 1952 in Europe photographing fashions for Life in Madrid, Mallorca, Rome and Paris. This lasting image was created that fall when they returned to New York.

This photograph is one of only two prints of this image in this size in The Archives collection.
