Further details
Mr. and Mrs. Andre Castoriano were important antiques dealers in Lima, Peru. Jean Royère refocused his attentions on Latin America in the mid 1950s due to political instability in the Middle East where several workshops had been raised in Cairo and Beirut. Le Magasin de Paris was born in Lima where Mr. Castoriano represented Jean Royère, and in the outskirts of the South American capital a workshop was started, with French cabinetmakers collaborating with local artisans to execute the designs by the master interior designer.
