With Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1950 and its subsequent sale on December 4th of the same year.

Reference 2424 was produced starting in 1946 until the early 1950's. The model is distinguished by its unusual flame-shaped lugs. Also nicknamed amongst collectors "the flame", an obvious choice given the shape of its lugs. Ref. 2424 is probably most eye-catching design ever chosen for a square model. The present watch is one of 7 known examples in pink gold; moreover, it is the only one known featuring the retailer's signature on the dial. Freccero was Patek Philippe's retailer in Montevideo, Urugay.
