A SILVER AND IVORY TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE BY PHILIPPE WOLFERS, CIRCA 1925
Mostly reknowned for his Art Nouveau jewelry, Philippe Wolfers turns towards an Art Deco style in the 1920s, gradually abandoning ornamentation to adopt geometric form. As soon as 1923, he is entrusted with the interior design of a room in the Belgian Pavillion, built by Victor Horta for the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. He designed furniture as well as carpets, lighting, glass, silverware or even faïence pieces
