With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with pink dial and applied gold numerals in 1942 and its subsequent sale on 27 April 1943.
The reference 1450 offered here for sale is believed to be the only example of this model known to date featuring such stepped hooded lugs as opposed to the commonly known flat version. Fresh to the market it is furthermore preserved in very good, original overall condition.
Reference 1450, also known as the "Top Hat" model amongst collectors, was in production from 1940 until the 1960s. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by M. Huber & A.
