Frans Francken painted a number of versions of the Last Judgement, the closest to this in composition is in the Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart. The figure of the old, reclining man, lower left, may have been inspired by a similar figure in Rubens' monumental Last Judgement (Munich, Alte Pinakothek).
