He immersed himself in the environment that was easily accessible from his home ranch. At 20, he was severely mauled by a lioness. After a period spent in the field of agricultural management, Llewellyn returned to his love of sculpting in the late 1970's. Thorough research underlies the forming of a finished art piece, he regularly travels in order to gain access to his subjects in their natural environment. His work features in private and public collections around the world.
