LLEWELLYN DAVIES During Llewellyn's solitare childhood, he spent many hours modelling forms out of clay showing a remarkable eye for proportion and form and an ability to record details of his subjects with great accuracy. He immersed himself in the environment that was easily accessible from his home ranch. At 20, he was severely mauled by a lioness. After a period spent in the field of agricultural management, Llewellyn returned to his love of sculpting in the late 1970's. Thorough research underlies the forming of a finished art piece, he regularly travels in order to gain access to his subjects in their natural environment. His work features in private and public collections around the world.
