A LARGE CARVED DUAN 'LOTUS LEAF' INK STONE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The stone is naturalistically carved as a large lotus leaf, with undulating incurved edges, partially covering a small crab carved in relief using a green inclusion in the stone. The stone is a dark purplish color.
9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm.) long, fitted wood box, Japanese wood box
