Lot Essay

This work is executed on the frontispiece of A. Cirici-Pellicer, Esgrafiados de Picasso, Barcelona, 1965. The work was a gift from the artist to Francisco Reina, otherwise known as Minuni. Minuni was a banderillero and close friend of Picasso, both of whom shared a lifelong passion for the bullfights of their native Spain.
