Lot Essay

was intended as a gift for the Boundary Estate Community Launderette on Calvert Avenue, next door to where Stik's show was held. The work was purchased by the present owner from the artist at the exhibition before the intended gift was made. The subject of the painting is undefined and could represent a snowball, the moon or a bundle of laundry, amongst other possibilities. This painting is possibly the artist's first work on a canvas support.
