Cal. 17''' mechanical jewelled movement, bimetallic compensation balance, micrometer regulator, silvered matte dial, applied gold baton numerals, outer beady minute divisions, gold hands, subsidiary seconds, circular plain case, snap on back, case, dial and movement signed and dial signed by retailer

Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvery satiné-finished dial and laped gold indexes in 1938 and its subsequent sale on 3 May 1941. Furthermore delivered with a fitted presentation box

To the best of our knowledge, this watch is the first example of a reference 600 retailed by Hausmann to appear in public to date. Fresh to the market it is furthermore preserved in very good overall condition.

Reference 600 was launched in 1933 and was one of Patek Philippe's most popular dress watches ever produced. Also called "white tie" or "smoking" watch, its timeless, modernist design enjoys still today great popularity amongst collectors.

The model was available with different calibres, the platinum version however generally fitted with the ultra flat cal. 17'''140.
