Oxford Bridge, Stowe

The present work depicts Oxford Bridge, looking up to the Boycott Pavilions at Stowe, Buckinghamshire. Piper executed a series of aquatints of Stowe in 1975 (see O. Levinson, 'Quality and Experiment': the Prints of John Piper, London, 1996, nos. 238-244, pp. 97-98).
