Das himmlische Paradies stellt einen Entwurf Augusto Giacomettis zum grossen Fenster in der Nordwand des Querschiffes im Zürcher Fraumünster dar. Bereits 1929 hielt der Künstler zur Vertragsunterzeichnung mit der Kirchgemeinde unseren Entwurf bereit. Die Ausführung verzögerte sich jedoch aus finanziellen Gründen. Erst 1943 wurde Giacometti die Finanzierung zugesichert mit der Auflage, den mittlerweile über ein Jahrzehnt alten Entwurf zu überarbeiten. Das Fenster, das der St. Galler Ludwig Jäger bemalt hatte, konnte 1945 in die Wand eingesetzt werden.
Das himmlische Paradies is a design by Augusto Giacometti for the large window on the northwall of the transept in the Fraumünster in Zurich. The artist had this design ready in 1929 to sign the contract with the parish. The execution of the project was delayed, however, for financial reasons. It was not until 1943 that Giacometti was assured the financing, on the condition that the design, by then over ten years old, was revised. The window, which was painted by Ludwig Jäger from St Gallen, was fitted in 1945.
