One page, oblong folio, finely engraved with heading in large letters "Abraham Lincoln President of the United States" and eagle vignette, accomplished in manuscript, embossed seal at left, small marginal tear at right edge, cleanly separated in four parts along old folds without loss (repairable). Appointing H.M. Miller an "appraiser of Merchandise for the Port of San Francisco, in the State of California."
