Prints and Multiples

  • Event date 7 March - 1 April
  • Event location London

Spanning five centuries of printmaking, this season’s Prints and Multiples auctions feature works by Old Masters and contemporary icons, offered across three exciting online sales.

Open for bidding from 7–12 March, Old Master Prints presents an exceptional selection of works from the first four centuries of European printmaking. Highlights include engravings by Albrecht Dürer such as Adam & Eve (1504), Knight, Death and the Devil (1513) and Melencolia I (1514), alongside rare landscapes by Rembrandt. This selection is complemented by standout prints by and after Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Raphael, Marcantonio Raimondi and many others.

Running from 13–27 March, Prints and Multiples brings together important works from Impressionism to Minimalism, with a special focus on female printmakers. Notable highlights include Bridget Riley’s first screenprint, Untitled [based on Movement in Squares] (1962) and Lill Tschudi’s striking Parisian Café (1939). Other highlights include Toulouse-Lautrec’s La Danse au Moulin Rouge (1897), Picasso’s Faune dévoilant une femme (1936) and David Hockney’s glorious Sun (1973).

Concluding the season, Contemporary Edition: London, open for bidding from 18 March – 1 April, offers sought-after editions by established artists and emerging talents. Early highlights include works by Banksy, Damien Hirst, Thierry Noir and Louise Bourgeois, offering collectors a dynamic selection of contemporary printmaking.
