This season welcomes an exciting collection of 15 photographs by the Turner Prize-winning artist, Wolfgang Tillmans, all coming to market for the first time from a distinguished private collection.
Spanning the full scope of Tillmans’s oeuvre from the 1990s, Wolfgang Tillmans: The Way We Look captures a significant period in art and culture. Reflecting on a decade of profound cultural shifts, including the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the formation of the European Union in 1993, the collection highlights Tillmans’s deep connection to the transformative spirit of the era.
From his camera-less exploration of abstraction to his iconic portraits of Kate Moss, this collection highlights the artist’s decades-long pursuit to redefine the medium of photography. Wolfgang Tillmans: The Way We Look is offered across our Post-War and Contemporary Art Day and Online Sales. Ahead of the full pre-sale exhibition, we invite you to preview this exceptional collection at our London headquarters from 12 to 21 February.
