Christie’s 20th/21st Century Art auctions in London concluded with a market-leading season total of £171,285,704 across seven live and online sales, selling over 91% by lot and 121% of the low estimate. The auctions saw strong international buyer participation, confirming the wide appeal of our dynamic sale format. The highest price of the season was achieved by René Magritte’s La reconnaissance infinie, realising £10,315,000 in Christie’s signature The Art of the Surreal Evening Sale.
Following the many successes of this season, we are now inviting consignments to our upcoming auctions in London, presenting era-defining modern and contemporary art.
