The Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art sale comprises around 300 lots showcasing important ceramics, jade and hardstone carvings, Buddhist art, metalwork, paintings, textiles and furniture, dating from as early as the Late Shang period (12th-11th century BC) to the Republic period (1912-1949). The sale includes highlights from private European, UK and Asian collections including a magnificent Ming dynasty gilt bronze figure of Guanyin, 16th-17th century and a delicately carved greenish-white jade “luohan and grotto” group from the Qianlong period.
